Veterinary Surgeon
Cristina Gomez Martin Crespo
Veterinary Surgeon & Founder, Healing Tails
Cristina Gómez Martín-Crespo is a veterinary surgeon with a calm, holistic approach that blends modern science with gentle, natural therapies.
She graduated from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and holds advanced certifications in Veterinary Acupuncture from the Chi University (Florida, USA) and Veterinary Herbal Medicine under Dr Azucena Gómez Alonso (Madrid, Spain).
Cristina’s focus is on recognising the subtle, early signs of imbalance that can affect an animal’s comfort and vitality long before they become visible. Through integrative veterinary care — combining acupuncture, herbal support and modern medicine — she helps pets recover, move freely, and feel their best at every stage of life.
Her calm manner and deep respect for each patient make every visit to Healing Tails in Alton, Hampshire a gentle experience — where compassion truly meets expertise.

Advanced Veterinary Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery
Roger Holden
Roger graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1994, and after several years in mixed practice, he moved to Farnham, where he has dedicated his career to small animal care ever since.
From 2012 to 2023, he managed his own veterinary practice before joining Vets4Pets, and in 2025 he became part of the Healing Tails team.
Roger brings over 25 years of clinical experience, combining precision and calmness in his work. As an Advanced Veterinary Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery, he enjoys all aspects of general practice and believes in supporting each patient with both medical expertise and genuine compassion.
Outside the clinic, Roger loves walking and cycling around the Surrey Hills and South Downs, finding inspiration in the balance between nature, wellbeing, and the animals he cares for.

Veterinary Support Assistant
Georgia
Georgia is our Veterinary Support Assistant at Healing Tails, and a fundamental part of the care we provide every day. Her passion for animals ranges from dogs and cats to the most peculiar, wonderful and wiggly companions.
With clinical experience in terrestrial, aquatic and flying animals, Georgia brings a gentle, attentive and holistic approach to each patient. She has a special sensitivity for:
Geriatric patients and end-of-life care
Anxious or sensitive animals
Companions who need a little more patience, understanding and time
She also has a huge love for reptiles — especially tortoises — and often comes in with stories about Ozzy, her inseparable tortoise.
Outside the clinic, Georgia devotes her time to rescuing and rehabilitating hamsters, something she has been doing on a voluntary basis for over 20 years.
Her mission at Healing Tails is simple but essential:
to help every animal feel safe, understood and cared for in a natural way.
